Board of Trustees

Introducing Hauroko Valley Primary School Board of Trustees.   

 

Seeking election onto the Board of Trustees [BOT] is the most formal means of involvement in the school. The BOT is the school’s governing body and members work closely with management at a strategic level. Board meetings are advertised in advance and are open to the public.

The board's role is to oversee the governance of our school and to ensure that everything that needs to be done gets done - legally, ethically, and as well as possible in the best interests of its students.

The board is the employer of all staff, including the Principal, and sets the overall strategic direction for our kura. The Principal is the board's 'chief executive' and manages the day-to-day operations of Hauroko Valley Primary in line with the board's direction and policies.
