Year 7&8 Quiz

Hump Ridge Camp Fundraising

2020 saw our Year 7&8 students organise;  along with Quiz Master / Teacher Alice Harris an evening of entertainment for camp fundraising.

Students were involved in the planning, preparation, quiz section, raffles, posters for advertising, marking, and recording as part of their development of skills involved in marketing.

Thanks to our hosts Tui Base Camp who are wonderfully supportive of our local school and community.

Thanks so much to several people and businesses from within our Clifden, Tuatapere area but also the wider Western Southland community as they made generous contributions for prizes as part of our fundraising.

The Year 7&8 students are looking forward to completing 61km as part of our first-ever Hump Ridge Camp walk.

Walks for Year 7&8

Lake Hauroko Look Out

Lake Hauroko Lookout tramping track is steep and rough, but well worth the effort.

The track near the jetty follows along the lake edge before climbing steeply to the lookout.

On a clear day there are stunning views of Lake Hauroko, Foveaux Strait to the South, the Takitimu Mountains to the East, and the Princess and Kaherekoau Mountains in the Northwest.

Check out the stunning shot of the team!
